Central Europe, mid-16th century
Malleable iron. Locking mechanism riveted to a cutout support sheet. Decorative cuts and grooving on the ends of the tension rods. Forged covers terminate in acanthine leaves. Fluted copper rivet washers and cone-shaped rivet heads.
